Ordered the Royal Gobi Crunch and was very disappointed with both the food and the service.
The dish was not crunchy at all. Instead, it was soggy and chewy, and I could barely find any gobi. Most of what I was eating was a very thick layer of batter, making it difficult to taste or even feel the cauliflower. It felt more like eating fried batter than a gobi dish.
Since it was a takeout order, I went back to the store immediately after tasting it and explained my concerns. The staff told me that only dine-in orders stay crunchy, while takeout orders lose their crispiness once packed. I understand that takeout can affect texture to some extent, but that doesn't explain the excessive batter. When I brought that up, I was simply told, "That's how it is," and that using more batter makes the dish crunchier.
What disappointed me the most was the way my concerns were handled. The staff didn't take any responsibility or make any effort to resolve the issue. They simply thanked me for the feedback and moved on. That's not the level of customer service I expected.
If you're ordering the Royal Gobi Crunch for takeout, be prepared to eat more batter than gobi. Unfortunately, this was a very disappointing experience, and I won't be ordering it again.
